Hello! My daughter is coming for the summer intensive for the last two weeks with move in day July 13. What time would she be done and need to be “on her own?” Will she be connected with activities of the program that day? I am trying to plan my return home. Also- do the two week students do anything different in regards to roommates/roommate requests? She is an upcoming junior and definitely wants to be near the other IAMT summer students. Thank u!

Hi there!
Move in on Sunday July 13 will be from 10am-4pm and there will be a 7pm meeting with the RA's for those newly arriving students to review rules and policies. There's no hard "out" time for parents on move in day, so it will depend on what time you all arrive and how long it takes to get her in and settled. But I'd estimate by 5pm or so, most parents are out of the building. Weekends are free time for the students, so there won't be any organized IAMT activities to connect her with, but there will be other students moving in that day as well and she'll likely meet many of the 4 week students as they are hanging out at the dorms as well. If she has a roommate request, there's a spot on her portal to make that request. No different policies from the 4 week students. Sometimes 2 week students are put together with other 2 week students their age and sometimes they will be mixed in with 4 week students - it just depends on how the numbers work out. But usually, our blocks of rooms are all together (sometimes on 2 different floors), so she should be right in the mix with everyone else. Let me know if we can answer anything else!
